Inter manager Luciano Spalletti is thankful that Brazilian national team manager Tite opted not to call-upon the services of Miranda during the ongoing international break according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

While Miranda remains integral to the Selecao, he is at Appiano Gentile training hard to try and regain his place in the starting line-up, something he lost after the first game against Sassuolo. With Inter competing across three fronts this term, for the first half of the season anyway, there will be plenty opportunities for Miranda to showcase his ability and play games.

Miranda’s recall could arrive as soon as the next game against Parma, the first back after the international break. This is due to the fact that both Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar are away on international duty with the Netherlands and Slovakia respectively.

The 34-year-old has been with Inter since 2016 and has made over a century of appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt since his arrival from Atletico Madrid.
