Marcelo Brozovic and Inter are working together towards a renewal. According to FcInterNews.it, the Croatian, whose contract expires in 2021, would like to further extend his stay with the Nerazzurri.

Brozovic is looking to increase his salary after showing what he is capable of after a very impressive second half of last season along with his performances for Croatia during the World Cup. In addition, Inter would like to discuss the player’s release clause. He currently has a clause of 50 million and the club’s intention would be to either increase that release clause or remove it completely.

Brozovic has established himself as a starter for Luciano Spalletti after improving his game and his overall maturity and consistency. It was Spalletti who helped redefine Brozovic’s role and give him a whole new purpose, thus really helping the Croatian shine.

The negotiations have begun, but there is no hurry as Inter have time on their side.
