Inter club captain and star man Mauro Icardi has not scored in Inter’s four opening Serie A games and there is worry at Inter according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Granted, he missed the third game with Bologna entirely and was a substitute in Saturday’s loss to Parma, but the Argentine has only ever underwent such a barren run of form once before and it came back in the 2012/2013 season while with Sampdoria.

With a contract renewal seemingly looming, the Rome based newspaper detail that this has had no effect on Icardi who has been absolutely central to Inter’s attack since arriving in the summer of 2013 ahead of the 2013/14 season. Since arriving at San Siro, the 25-year-old has scored no less than 107 goals across all competitions, a tally good enough to see him in to the top 10 when it comes to the all time top goal scoring list at Inter.
