Inter could well revert to a back three for tomorrow night’s Champions League opener at home to Tottenham Hotspur according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

In the defeat to Parma, Luciano Spalletti deployed the Nerazzurri in a 4-2-3-1 formation and will be looking for a reaction from the players by deploying them in a 3-4-2-1.

The most notable change to the team other than the system change is that club captain and talisman Mauro Icardi will start the match from the beginning in place of Keita Balde. Moreover, Miranda will more than likely receive a recall and will join Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar in the back three. Danilo D’Ambrosio is also expected to miss out so Antonio Candreva will be playing at right wing back.

Inter Predicted Line-up (3-4-2-1): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Miranda; Antonio Candreva, Matias Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic, Kwadwo Asamoah; Ivan Perisic, Radja Nainggolan; Mauro Icardi.
