Inter Midfielder Nainggolan: “We Had A Great Game, We Can Only Improve”

In an interview with Sky Sports, Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan shared his delight at what he believes was a ‘deserved’ 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur as Inter got their Champions League campaign off to a winning start.

“We deserved to get the result, we had a great game. We scored the first goal at a time when we did not expect it and it was a bit unlucky for them. We have to keep on working. We have a strong team, I played in the Champions League last year and I know we can only improve ourselves, but we have to get points both in the league and in the Champions League.”

The Belgian then spoke on his physical condition and is focused on improving it.

“I am working hard. If I play every 3 days and train, I can not do much to recover but having not done the full pre-season I am a bit behind other but by continuing to work I will only improve.”
