Former Italian national team manager Cesare Prandelli has backed Inter manager Luciano Spalletti amid Inter’s poor start to the campaign.

“Luciano Spalletti is a guarantee for Inter but he has to understand the difficulties that the team are currently going through. The transfer market was first class and sometimes just one match is enough to make a season turn around,” Prandelli said in an interview with Tuttosport.

Prandelli then spoke on who he believes can be the anti-Juventus.

“All the teams can be but they have all yet to find the right set-up and maybe they have some problems. There are teams that have changed a lot and who have had several players from the World Cup. In comparison to other teams, especially in this initial phase, it seems to me that Napoli is a very close group. Carlo Ancelotti is a guarantee for them and not only from a management point of view.”
