Inter’s Chief Football Operations Officer Giovanni Gardini stopped by Italian broadcaster Dazn as is now tradition to share his thoughts on the clash against Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa’s Marassi district.
The former Hellas Verona CEO started by talking about the win in the opening group stage match in the Champions League against Tottenham stating that: “Wins like that brings self confidence, we won against a team like Tottenham and this is the reason behind the satisfaction. Today, we are talking about putting into practice what we managed to do last Tuesday.”
Giovanni Gardini, who was born and educated in England was a Director in Lazio’s organization between 2003 and 2006 before being Treviso’s CEO between 2006 and 2008 as well as a stint with Livorno as their CEO as well. After Livorno Gardini was Hellas Verona’s CEO between 2012 and March 1st 2016 when he joined Inter as the club’s Chief Football Operations Officer replacing Marco Fassone who was sacked by the club on September 18th 2015.
