Another day, another match and subsequently another dramatic win snatched at the very end. This Inter team is the most Pazza group of Nerazzurri players that we have seen in almost a decade. A less than below average start to the match but where the players fought their way into the match and ended with a deserved win.
Samir Handanovic – 6: Wasn’t really tested but did what he had to do without any fuss or nonsense. Solid and stable performance.
Danilo D’Ambrosio – 6.5: No sign of the injury that forced him to miss the Tottenham clash. Solid defensively where he had to cover for Politano numerous times.
Milan Skriniar – 7: Another brilliant performance by the most solid, consistent and stable player at the club right now. Rarely puts a foot wrong.
Joao Miranda – 6.5: His two recent matches show he deserves his national team call-up. Intelligent player with a lot of valuable experience.
Kwadwo Asamoah – 7: Yet another great performance by Inter’s most in form player right now. Scored a screamer that was correctly disallowed.
Matias Vecino – 6: Positioning is poor but makes up for it with determination, grit, hard work and a never say die attitude that’s fundamental to the team.
Marcelo Brozovic – 7: Just like in Tottenham game follows up a poor first half with a phenomenal second half. What a 2018 he has had. Compliments.
Matteo Politano – 5.5: Looking more and more like a one trick pony: cut in from right to use his left foot. Came off in 60 th minute for Perisic.
Radja Nainggolan – 6.5: His disallowed goal defines him as a player: power, grit, determination and sublime technique. Already a pillar of this team.
Antonio Candreva – 6: Speaking of 1 trick ponies but worked his socks off and was unlucky not to score twice when hitting the post and having his shot saved.
Mauro Icardi – 5.5: It’s almost impossible to rate him as he is given absolutely nothing to work with whilst being needed in the penalty box to reek havoc.
Ivan Perisic – 6: Came on for Politano and immediately showed how dangerous a winger who has several weapons in his arsenal can do.
Keita Balde – 5.5: Continues to struggle no matter where he is played. Always works hard but seems like he just needs something to go his way to bloom.
Borja Valero – N/A: Brought on in the 83 rd minute played too little to be marked yet managed to get booked.
Luciano Spalletti – 6.5: The manager with the most Inter like personality since Mourinho. Personafies passion and fighting spirit. Sent off for celebrating goal.
Clement Turpin – 4: Rating is equally his as it is for the entire refereeing association in the Serie A who all seem unable to use their powers with consistency
Inter – 6.5: This team is 100% Pazza Inter. Keeping their fans between heaven and hell every minute. Yet another goal at the death is impressive.
