Former Inter keeper Francesco Toldo was interviewed by Milano-based newspaper Corriere della Sera about the project Inter Forever and explained what it is and what is represents.
The former Nerazzurri and Fiorentina keeper stated that “This is for every former player, from Javier Zanetti to any player that has worn the Inter jersey once. There is a great atmosphere with a lot of jokes but as soon as we are on the pitch everybody wants to win.”
What are the main goals of your project?
“Inter Forever represents the name and the history of the club around the world and we do a lot of activities: everything from beneficial and social ones with international friendlies around the world facing ex-players from Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern and Real Madrid to those where we are the hosts and we honor former Inter players that has been part of writing Inter history.”
Any opinion on Handanovic?
“He often holds the game in his hands and during these last couple of seasons he has made incredible saves and as a true Interista he has learned to step up when things are not going well.”
Where will we see Inter arrive this season?
“The quality is there, but the players have to understand what it means to play for this shirt and try to follow Spalletti’s mentality, only in this way important results will come.”
