Matteo Politano spoke to DAZN after Inter’s 2-0 victory over Cagliari at the San Siro in which he was the second goal scorer.

“Today we knew it was going to be hard for us. We just wanted to follow up recent results and succeeded in doing so,” the Italian said.

Despite scoring, Politano is remaining grounded and believes he can still do better in the future.

“At the beginning I started badly but managed to recover. I have to improve a lot, I lost the ball a lot and I must not make as many mistakes therefore I have to work. Lautaro Martinez can help me but whoever plays can help me to improve on the pitch too.”

Politano concluded the interview by looking ahead to Tuesday’s match in the Champions League

“The coach will decide [if I get to play]. We are a strong side and tomorrow morning we will think about the match with PSV. We hope to go there and get a result.”
