Inter’s Nainggolan Looking To Continue His Streak Against Cagliari

Tonight could be Radja Nainggolan’s night as he faces his former team. Nainggolan played for Cagliari for 4 years, between 2010 and 2014, making 137 appearances and scoring 4 goals in the process. The Corriere dello Sport express their thoughts on Nainggolan and how he has been performing for the Nerazzurri since making his switch from Roma this Summer.

“So far Nainggolan has not shown his true form, mainly because of the thigh injury that he suffered during Inter’s second friendly in mid-July. Inter’s new number 14 has since struggled to find his best form because he had been out for nearly a month and a half. The Belgian knows that he still needs to work on his conditioning and the next international break will be essential for him because, considering he is not part of the national team, he will be able to rest his legs for the many difficult games that Inter will have during October-November, but first Inter will have to face Cagliari, PSV, and Spal, three opponents against which Inter are looking to maintain their current winning streak.”

“In the previous seven encounters with Cagliari, Nainggolan has won 6 and drew 1, but has not been able to score a single goal yet.”
