Tottenham’s English international defender Danny Rose spoke to The Independent ahead of Spurs difficult home game in the Champions League against Barcelona at Wembley.
Rose argues that the Premier League outfit knows that they have to win after having lost their opening clash at the San Siro against Inter: “It’s a massive game. We have to win. We’re fully aware of that. We’re all bitterly disappointed from how the Inter game finished and no mistakes, we have to win on Wednesday.”
Going into a game against Barcelona with the pressure of having to win does not scare Rose who stated: “We went to the Bernabeu and were unlucky not to win that game and then when we played them at Wembley we outplayed them, and not just them, Dortmund as well.”
The full-back then went on to talk about how pleased he was to be playing regularly after a summer of rumors regarding his future stating that: “I’m just happy to be playing. It’s probably something I didn’t expect four or five weeks ago. I’m just happy I’m in a position to be selected and I want it to continue.”
