Two of Inter’s zero-cost signings have really been proving their worth. Both Kwadwo Asamoah and Stefan De Vrij have been showing their quality and their personality, as evidenced by their performance in the Champions League.

After losing Joao Cancelo this past summer, Inter still managed to boost their defense by signing De Vrij, Asamoah, and are still waiting for Sime Vrsaljko to make his return from his injury.

Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport discuss the fact that these signings have cost Inter nothing as have some other signings in the past stating that: “Two signings that cost Inter nothing, looking back, Inter have had a lack of consistency with the successful of their free signings: Cambiasso and Figo, Pandev, Vidic, Banega.

“Looking back at many of the free signings that Inter have made, there have been some big and some not so big names that have come in for the Nerazzurri on free transfers, names like: Davids, Ze Maria, Mihajlovic, Favalli, Cambiasso, Figo, Castellazzi, Andreolli, Campagnaro, Vidic, Banega, and Padelli. Asamoah and De Vrij in two months have made it clear that they can consistently display very strong performances for Inter” the Gazzetta concludes.
