Leonardo Bonucci has recalled his debut for Inter in an interview with Corriere dello Sport where he also revealed his regret at leaving Juventus last summer.

“Let’s say that at that moment, when I removed the jacket I wore over the Nerazzurri shirt, I did not understand anything anymore. We were in Cagliari, I remember that it was very hot and I do not remember what the coach told me. I only thought about playing as well as possible and my debut was an incredible feeling. It was part of the dream I had as a child.”

He then spoke on his exit from Juventus for Milan which lasted just a year before he returned.

“Things happened during the last four months of my last spell with Juventus, which had hurt my pride and affected me on a personal level, and I wasn’t good enough to let it slip. Then, with time and looking from the outside, I realised that leaving Juventus wasn’t the right decision because only here and with this shirt can I express my potential on and off the field. Together with President Agnelli and my agent, I was lucky enough to return and I realised that was the only thing I really wanted.”
