Former Milan midfielder Dejan Savicevic has looked at his former club as well as Inter ahead of the upcoming Milan derby.

“Milan play good football and are growing. Higuain has now started scoring and Suso is providing the assists. The last few games have convinced me. They go in to the derby with Inter in great shape and play better than the Nerazzurri do but as always, anything can happen in the derby.

Savicevic then spoke on Inter manager Luciano Spalletti and Inter’s win over SPAL at the weekend.

“Spalletti is a great coach. Against SPAL his men were cynical, they got lucky that SPAL missed that penalty and with two shots they won the game.”

The Montenegrin then weighed in on the ongoing debate as to who is better between Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain.

“They are two different types of strikers but I prefer Pipita because he scores goals but he participates in the game, he assists his team-mates and improves the whole group. Icardi is an extraordinary finisher but the team have to provide him with the service.”
