Inter have not been alone in keeping their eyes upon Cagliari starlet Nicolo Barella according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Nerazzurri have had scouts at several games of the Rossoblu but as have city rivals Milan and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

Cagliari president Tomasso Giulini is all too aware of Barella’s talent and standing as one of the top Italian prospects and has valued him accordingly. As per the report, Giulini has placed a €50 million pricetag on the 21-year-old, a significant increase on his pricetag last year where it was only about half as much.

Moreover, the report goes on to state that while scouting Cagliari’s matches, Inter have also been paying close attention to goalkeeper Alessio Cragno. The 24-year-old shot-stopper is being shortlisted as a potential replacement for current Inter number one Samir Handanovic who is getting on a bit now and will not be around forever to guard Inter’s goals.
