SPAL manager Leonardo Semplici has spoken on the need to get over the disappointment of losing to Inter at the weekend wherein they put in one of their best performances of the season and were unfortunate not to get anything from the match.

“There was a need to detach after the excellent performance on the field but unfortunately it was not enough to bring home the result. We have to dispel the disappointment of the latest results, especially the one with Inter, and start again in the best way. We must give continuity to our performances and I am sorry that we lost at the weekend even against a great team in Inter,” Semplici said in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.

Semplici then spoke on Mirco Antenucci who missed a penalty for the Ferrara club in the match.

“He is an important player. A player like him can give us the quality we need and on Sunday he has missed the penalty but it happens to the best players in the world too.”
