Former Inter and Torino striker Aldo Serena has given his opinion on the rumours linking Antonio Candreva with a switch to the Granata.

“Antonio Candreva is a technically strong winger. He has great dynamism. It would be a sign of great ambition from Torino president Cairo to sign him and could allow manager Mazzari to get the best out of both Belotti and Zaza.

“If I were him I would go to play for a chance, the will to get back to playing. He is 31, not 35. The European Championship’s are just round the corner and for someone like a him a move could make him a protagonist again, in a team that are looking to qualify for European football.”

Candreva has been with Inter since 2016 and is under contract at San Siro through to the end of the 2019/20 season. He has made 89 appearances to date for the Nerazzurri, scoring nine and assisting 19.
