Inter and Roma are courting Hector Herrera but face competitions from the Premier League to sign the Mexican according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The 28-year-old is nicknamed El Zorro, the fox, and as the cunning animal waits for the best opportunity to snatch its prey, he waits for the most important contract of his career. Watford, who are owned by the Pozzo family, are in for him, as well as Arsenal and Crystal Palace.”

Herrera’s contract with Porto expires at the end of the current season and will be available on a pre-contract basis as of January. Interested parties could of course just make a move for him and acquire him for a cut-price from the Portuguese giants to avoid the risk of him opting to join someone else on a free instead of themselves.

Herrera has been with Porto since 2013 and is the club captain of the Dragoes. He has made 11 appearances across all competitions this season and has scored one goal.
