Inter have maintained their interest in Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian from the summer but are not alone in being interested in him according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

“In addition to the omnipresent Juve, Inter and Napoli also closely followed the Italian Darmian who, after being a step away from the Bianconeri in the summer, he continues to look for a return to Serie A,” their report details.

The Italian international is out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer thus meaning that clubs can approach him on a pre-contract basis in the upcoming January transfer window. With just one appearance to date this term, it seems rather clear that his future lies far away from the Red Devils.

In order for the Nerazzurri to sign the 28-year-old though, it is likely that they will have to move on one of the full back’s already on their books with them already having more than enough cover for each side.
