Inter have heightened their interest in Cristiano Biraghi and Nicolo Barella according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Inter are looking to bring academy graduate Biraghi back to the club although Fiorentina seem keen to keep a hold of him currently. The 26-year-old full back’s home-grown status with the club is something that can’t be underestimated, especially when it comes to meeting squad requirements for the Champions League.

The interest in Barella is meanwhile long-standing and he is understood to be valued at around €45 million by the Cagliari hierarchy. Cagliari manager Rolando Maran has been assured that Barella will not be sold in the upcoming January transfer window but the Nerazzurri are remaining vigilant on the situation nevertheless. Inter have good relations with his agent – who also represents Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan – and could try get a deal done in January that would see the 21-year-old join in the summer.
