Despite sporting director Piero Ausilio describing it as ‘absolutely impossible’ to pull off, Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric remains tempted by a move to Inter according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Croatian was subject to strong interest in the summer but ultimately a move never came to fruition but his ambition to play for Inter is still there.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been pushing him for a contract renewal but Modric is still yet to sit down to hold talks over the new deal.

Modric is not fuelled by the idea of money which comes as good news for Inter who may not need to pay as much as they expected to pay him if a move were to go through.

The FIFA World Cup runner up recently won the FIFA Best award and has made 11 appearances across all competitions for Los Blancos where he has tallied two assists.
