Jurgen Klinsmann: “Inter, You Cannot Lose The Derby”

German legend Jurgen Klinsmann was interviewed by Sky Sport Italia discussed his experience with the Nerazzurri and gave his thoughts on the upcoming clash with AC Milan on Sunday’s derby.

Klinsmann stated that: “The derby is too important a game for the club – you cannot lose it. I have great memories of the matches against Milan, as well as of Italian football in general and the people with whom I lived in Italy. I miss my friends and the Nerazzurri people in general.”

After being awarded the German Player of the Year whilst at VfB Stuttgart, Klinsmann joined fellow Germans Lothar Matthaus and Andreas Brehme at the Nerazzurri. Klinsmann went on to make 95 appearances for Inter between 1989 and 1992, scoring 34 goals and lifting the UEFA Cup.

After finishing his playing career in 2003, he went on to manage Germany leading them to the World Cup semi-final in 2006, Bayern Munich and finally the United States.
