Argentinian Inter legend turned pundit on Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Esteban Cambiasso, was asked on air about his feelings towards the derby having been involved in so many.
The former Nerazzurri midfielder revealed that he remembers the period leading up to the games the most: “My memory of the derby takes me to the week that precedes it, because I liked to go around Milano to see how every fan was experiencing it, feeling how charged up they were because it is a very special week.”
“If we are talking about particular derby matches, I have two wins that are in my heart. One is when I scored the winning 2-1 goal in the Christmas derby and the other one is also a derby played in December where we won in the 92nd minute thanks to a goal by Adriano. It is these that I will keep in my heart forever even if all the positive and negative emotions I have felt will remain” Cambiasso concluded.
