Borja Valero reflected on Inter’s 2-0 loss to Barcelona in the Champions League and was full of praise for the Blaugrana.
“The opportunities we had we were not able to make the most of and so everything became so complicated for us. We tried to take away something positive from this game but it was not possible. I think that even without Lionel Messi that Barcelona played the best they have played this season,” the midfielder told Spanish news outlet Cadena Ser.
He proceeded to speak about who can win the Champions League.
“There are lots of candidates for me that can go all the way and win it. Juventus are a strong team but I hope they do not win it.”
He concluded the interview by discussing the possible arrival of Luka Modric at Inter.
“He would be a great reinforcement for us if he came but I do not think Real Madrid will let him leave.”
