Well known Croatian football coach Ilija Loncarevic commented on Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic’s huge turnaround he has experienced in recent months largely down to the help he has received from Inter boss Luciano Spalletti.

“It is not just down to Spalletti’s as he [Brozovic] simply just grew up. In Russia at the World Cup, the Croatian national team has reached the peak of its powers and as a result all the players have grown,” he said in an interview with Croatian news outlet net.hr.

He then went on to discuss areas where Brozovic has improved and tipped him to play at the very top.

“He has greatly improved his understanding of the game and has grown from a tactical point of view and because of these things he plays better. Marcelo has now grown as a person and as a player, and has many years of high-level football ahead of him.”
