Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde will not take a decision on whether Lionel Messi will feature against Inter as a starter until after the training session at San Siro ahead of tomorrow’s match according to a report from Tuttosport.

The Argentine broke his arm two weeks ago but has had a remarkable recovery and has shown good signs in training at the end of last week which lead to his inclusion in the squad. Should he continue to show the good signs he has shown then he will be in the starting eleven.

The Turin based newspaper also report that former Inter midfielder Philippe Coutinho may have to start the match against his former employers from the bench due to his recent underwhelming performances. Rafinha and Ousmane Dembele may meanwhile find themselves in Valverde’s starting eleven for the fourth group stage game, a game in which Barcelona could secure passage in to the knockout stage.
