Italian broadsheet La Repubblica published an analysis of the 1-1 draw between Inter and Barcelona in the Champions League at the San Siro last night.

There two main points from that analysis: Inter’s ‘never give up’ attitude and Mauro Icardi’s goal. Here is what the report had to say about the game: “Maurito’s goal allowed Inter to equalize and take a draw after suffering for most of the game against a much stronger opponent. Barcelona lacked precision in their attack as they dominated the game but were unable to score more than one goal.”

Repubblica went on to discuss what it took for Inter to make the comeback: “Inter has that fire inside of them that always burns. In the end, it was an important draw, especially considering the fact that Tottenham managed to win their game. Now Inter will face them at Wembley in three weeks and will have to show them that same attitude.”
