Mauro Icardi – The Poster Boy For Inter’s Champions League Campaign

In today’s paper edition of the newspaper, Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport have renamed the Champions League to “Mauro League” due to the fact that the striker has scored 3 goals in 4 games.

Mauro Icardi barely touched the ball all game, but during the second half, when the defenders began to lower their guard and feel as though the victory is in their pockets, Icardi shows up and scores the goal that makes a difference.

As the Inter captain, he can not be happy with a draw as he had this to say after the game: “In the end we should have done better, we could have even won. We’ll have to do it in London.”
