There are a host of Brazilian clubs keen on signings Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa once his loan with Santos expires and as per a report from Esporte Interativo, Palmeiras have an advantage over the others for two reasons.

Not only are the Verdao well off financially but they have two young talents in Alan Guimaraes and Luan Candido de Almeida that they believe Inter could be interested in that could in turn bring 21-year-old Gabigol’s price tag down.

Guimaraes, who goes by the name Alanzinho, is an attacking midfielder is under contract with the Sao Paulo based club through until the the summer of 2023. As per the report, the 18-year-old has been scouted by several European clubs. Luan Candido de Almeida, known simply as Luis Candido, is a left back, who possesses strong physical traits and is capable of playing as a centre back and winger also.

Palmeiras aside, Gremio, Cruzeiro, Flamengo are all believed to be interested.
