Andrea Pinamonti has revealed that if he is called upon he will duly accept a call-up to the Italian national team following Frosinone’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in which he scored the equaliser for the Gialloblu, who he is on a season long loan with.

“When a young man like me has the opportunity to enter the field, he must give everything he has,” he told Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.

Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini has named several surprise selections while in charge and given several players of the future a go with Brescia’s Sandro Tonali the most recent example of this. Pinamonti was then quizzed about what he would do if he were to be called up.

“I always give my best and then if the coach and his staff evaluate me and call me I will answer the call.”
