Cagliari manager Rolando Maran has tipped Nicolo Barella for a big future while praising the club hierarchy for managing to keep a hold of him amid continued interest from a whole host of clubs.

“The President has done really well to retain a player like Barella. Barella is growing in every game he plays, he is a young lad with great personality. He has already shown what he is made of in the national team, but he is only at the start. In my opinion he is destined for success in the blue shirt. He has has a big future ahead of him,” he said in an interview with Radio Anch’io Sport.

The central midfielder is believed to be a transfer target for Inter, who face stiff competition for his signature. Juventus, Milan, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have all recently been quoted as also being interested in the 21-year-old.
