Eder: “It;s Going Well For Me In China, I Left Inter Because I Had Little Space”

Former Inter and current Jiangsu Suning striker Eder has spoken on his experience so far with Chinese football temporarily on hold due to the winter break.

“It is going well for me. I thought they [Chinese players] were worse but there is a lot of investment and football is growing. There are stadiums, money, fans and some great players. Of course, they still lack tactical culture but they are learning it from foreign coaches. In fact, I am training more here than I did when in Italy, anyone who thinks that players come here for a holiday are wrong,” he told Il Secolo XIX.

The Italo-Brazilian striker then spoke on why he left Inter and whether he would have returned to Sampdoria.

“Sampdoria was the only team I would have left for, I always said it to Piero Ausilio but then on the last day of the transfer market came the opportunity to go to China and I said to myself. I could get a better experience abroad and play rather than continue in Milan and have little space. Then again, had Sampdoria come in, I would have gone back because it is home for me.”
