Gianfelice Facchetti, the son of Inter legend Giacinto Facchetti, has spoken on Inter and their history in an interview with SportAvellino.it.

“Inter is a team that still tries to take care of its history. The Beneamata have always been at the forefront of things in many areas, starting from the formation of the club where they were really open to the inclusion of foreigners. Inter has always been criticised for having too many foreigners on the pitch, but today all the teams are like that.”

Facchetti jr. then spoke on Inter’s current owners the Suning group.

“They have presented themselves well and seem to have good intentions. It remains to be seen if this will all translate into clear ideas and the ability to bring Inter to the top.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on the idea of Inter being the anti-Juventus.

“The Bianconeri in recent years have been able to be the strongest in Italy and Inter must simply return to being one of the best.”
