Lazio owner Claudio Lotito has spoken on the Aquile’s success under him in comparison to the likes of Juventus, Inter and Milan.

“I would like to remind people that Lazio, after Juve, Inter and Milan, are the team who have won the most trophies under my ownership. We’ve been able to combine economic results with sporting ones. Last year we beat Juve in the Supercoppa, despite spending €120m and Juve €500m, while the average of the other clubs is about €300m,” he said in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“Lets just say that despite having a third of Juve’s investment power, we are doing a good job. Lazio ended the year with a €38m profit, the only club with such a profit. All the big sides ended with a loss. We are combining sound management with results on the field. Lazio are certainly a great club on a business level.”
