Former Inter president and owner Massimo Moratti is one of the main reasons that Inter are courting Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

In the past few months, Moratti suggested to now Inter president Steven Zhang that he should look to get Moratta involved at the club and since that moment Zhang has been set on doing so.

The report also goes on to state what Marotta’s intentions are on the transfer market next summer, something he will explain to Steven and his father, Inter owner and Suning owner Jindong Zhang, while he is with them at Suning headquarters in Nanjing, China.

Marotta wishes to bring Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to San Siro. While at Juventus Marotta held talks with Lazio president Claudio Lotito, who he has a good relationship with, over the Serb who has attracted interest from Barcelona and is likely to cost over €100 million.
