Recent leaks have pointed toward Inter ditching their iconic black and blue vertical stripes in favour of a black and blue diagonally striped home kit for next season.
“Someone has come up with a revolutionary, or unbecoming, or intelligent, or absurd idea depending on who you talk to with regard to the 2019/20 jersey. Inter will remain striped in Nerazzurri, yes, albeit diagonally,” a report from La Repubblica reads.
Social media has shown many to be against the idea of the ditching of the vertical stripes but this could be “the beginning of a path that will lead to the diagonal stripes for the years to come, who knows,” their report continues.
La Repubblica also go on to state that Inter’s kit providers Nike are in the process of making a commemorative jersey to mark the 20-year relationship with the club. The kit will be a patchwork of the 20 different kits used since the start of the relationship.
