The Italian director is expected to return to Italy today from his meeting with them in China, as he gears up for his new role, believed to be working alongside Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio. The Nerazzurri intend to exploit Marotta’s wealth of contacts that he has established strong relationships with, over the years, especially during the transfer market.
He has a large phone book, with many reliable contacts. In Italy he has a friend almost everywhere, as evidenced by his time with Juventus, who seemed to indirectly control the movement of young Italians.
