Inter have held talks with the representatives of Manchester City’s Eliaquim Mangala over a potential loan move to the San Siro for the remainder of the season according to a report from British newspaper The Sun.

The French central defender has yet to see any action this season for the reigning Premier League champions and his contract at the Etihad stadium is due to expire at the end of the current season.

The report goes on to state that the Nerazzurri then intend to take him on a permanent basis once his deal expires but they are however not alone in courting him.

Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested and it is understood that the 27-year-old, who has been in Manchester since 2014 following a move from Portuguese giants FC Porto, would prefer to remain playing his football in England, this despite recently rejecting a transfer to Crystal Palace.
