Juventus manager Max Allegri has dismissed the idea that the race for the Serie A title is already over with his Bianconeri side eight points clear the the top of the table.
“There are so many games to go until the end of the season, from now until December 29 we have a lot of head-to-head games against Inter, Roma, Fiorentina, Atalanta. Just as in the Champions League we will take it a step at a time, nothing is taken for granted,” Allegri insisted during his pre-match press conference ahead of Juventus’ penultimate Champions League group stage match with Valencia.
“We want to get through and secure first place, but Valencia are in good form. They can keep their qualification hopes alive, and we cannot fall asleep like we did with Manchester United. It is just a matter of focus, and losing against United did us good because if not we would have stumbled against Milan.”
