Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has confirmed that he will be back at Inter once his loan with Santos is up at the end of the month but conceded he is unaware on what the future holds for him in terms of where he will be playing his club football.
“I hope the next year can be a wonderful year for me. I do not know where I will be playing yet but I will be back at Inter in January, so we will talk calmly about my future. I think it is important for a player to be happy and to find continuity,” he said in an interview with ESPN Brazil.
The Brazilian striker achieved top scorer status in the Brazilian top flight with 18 league goals during his loan spell. The 22-year-old is still under contract with Inter until the end of the 2020/21 season but various reports have suggested his future lies elsewhere from the Nerazzurri.
