After Inter’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s appointment at the club has been delayed and today the Inter management will meet to decide when best to now announce his arrival according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

With Inter now fully focused on Friday’s Derby D’Italia with Juventus, it would appear difficult to imagine Inter appoint Marotta in time for the match with his former employers.

The Rome based newspaper speculate that Marotta’s appointment could be formalised after Inter’s final Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven which is set to take place in eight days time.

It would appear as if Inter are wanting to avoid any unnecessary distractions ahead of two of, if not the biggest two, games of their season thus far.

Since Marotta left Juventus, he has appeared destined to join the Nerazzurri and it is now only a matter of time until this is confirmed.
