Inter have made up ground on Juventus in the race to sign Toulouse starlet Jean-Clair Todibo according to a report from Rai Sport.

Soon to be Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta intends to beat off the competition from his former employers to sign the French central defender.

The 18-year-old defender has impressed this term for Les Violets, making 10 appearances across all competitions scoring once and tallying as many assists while helping the team record two clean sheets when he has been playing.

Despite Tolouse’s president recently stating that Todibo will not leave the club at least until the summer transfer window, the fact interested clubs simply just have to pay a compensation fee due to him not having a professional contract may make it difficult for them to achieve this.

Inter and Juventus aside, Premier League pair Liverpool and Wolves have also been reported as interested in the youngster.
