Roberto Gagliardini made it clear that he is aware that a good performance is worth nothing when points aren’t being won following Inter’s loss to Juventus.

“We are aware of our strengths and we had a good game. We go back to Milan aware that we are a good team and that we can compete with anyone in the league and in Europe but we also go back with zero points and that is what counts in football,” a dejected Gagliardini explained in an interview in the mixed zone.

“Unfortunately, in the second half they took a little bit more control and they put us in trouble. They scored their goal and took our legs from under us and we could not react. We had chances after going behind but could not make the most of them.

“I do not think they are unbeatable as there are no teams like that. We put them in difficulty throughout the match, we will wee them again in the league and we will see if we find them again in the various other competitions.”

He then went to speak about Inter’s next game against PSV Eindhoven.

“We have to deal with the mentality that it is a final. We have to do everything to win and then we will see what happens there. Let’s hope we can get a hand from Barcelona.”
