As a result of being unable to nail down a place in Unai Emery’s team this season, Arsenal could be set to offload Mesut Ozil in January in a cut-price deal with Inter said to be interested in him according to a report from British newspaper The Sun.
Ozil’s representatives are set to travel to Milan to hold talks with Inter officials over a potential €25 million move in the upcoming January transfer window.
Arsenal are hopeful of using cash raised through the 30-year-old’s sale toward activating the €35 million release clause of Espanyol centre back Mario Hermoso, a player which Emery is a big fan of.
The German midfielder has been with the Gunners since 2013 following a €42.5 million move from Real Madrid and has made over 200 appearances in his time with the London club. 12 of those appearances have come this season where he has scored four goals and tallied one assist.
