Former Inter player Luis Figo spoke on Mauro Icardi’s performance in Inter’s 1-0 victory over Udinese at San Siro last night.

“Icardi is an important player. He is a striker capable of scoring at the slightest opportunity. His penalty last night shows that he has personality and quality and also showed the confidence that he has,” he said in an interview with DAZN.

The Portuguese, who spent four years with Inter, then spoke on Inter’s chances at winning the Serie A title.

“Winning the scudetto this season is difficult due to the points difference but I hope that Inter can return to winning soon.”

Figo also spoke on the idea that Lionel Messi should join Cristiano Ronaldo in playing in Italy in the future.

“It would be wonderful for Italian football to have both of these historic players in Italy. I think that after this experience in Serie A, Cristiano Ronaldo will be more complete”.
