Former Inter manager Frank de Boer has spoken on his next steps in football management following his unsuccessful spells with Inter and Crystal Palace.

“I have received proposals from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain but for the time being I do not care, at the beginning I was thinking only of myself and not of football. After the disappointing experiences with Inter and Crystal Palace there was a lot of negativity surrounding me. I had a great time but my spells with Inter and in Premier League have worn me down,” he told Voetbalzone.nl.

He then went on to talk of his time in charge of Inter that lasted just 85 days.

“Inter only lasted about eighty days but I used as much energy as I did in my five and a half years with Ajax. Too much attention is paid to marginal issues abroad. You try to make things work and keep everything under control but you can’t or you find yourself hindered. You always have to get things correct and this uses up a lot of energy.
