Corriere dello Sport have examined Mauro Icardi’s ranking in Inter’s all-time scoring charts with the Argentine striker having two players records well within reach before the end of the season.

Icardi is closing in on seventh placed Christian Vieri and after his goal against Udinese he is now just three away from tying level with Bobo. Icardi now has 120 goals in 201 appearances for Inter and in all likelihood will also surpass Istvan Nyers (who scored 128) in sixth place by the end of the current season.

This season, Icardi has scored 13 goals in 19 games across all competitions. He has scored nine goals in 13 league games and four in six Champions League outings.

The 25-year-old Argentine striker is 76 goals off being Inter’s all-time top goalscorer – an honour which currently belongs to the legendary Giuseppe Meazza – and if he sees out his contract with the club there is every chance that he can achieve this honour.
