Peace appears to have been restored between Juventus director Pavel Nedved and new Inter chief executive officer Beppe Marotta.

Nedved has hit out at Marotta on multiple occasions since Marotta was announced at Inter on Friday and did not hold back when doing so but has looked to cool the situation.

“What I said could have been seen as an attack on Marotta. Beppe was a great teacher, not only for me but for all of us at Juventus. At Juventus we had eight very important years. With his addition Inter got stronger and it hurt me a bit, that’s all,” the Czech said to reporters on the sidelines of the Golden Boy awards.

Marotta, who was making his first comment since Nedved first hit out at him on Saturday, meanwhile told reporters,

“Now I am at Inter and it is not an easy task after many years at Juve. Pavel and I are now football enemies, but life goes on. Now it is up to me to launch a team which has not been at the top in recent years.”

The pair embraced upon meeting one another at the awards and engaged in a long conversation that also seen Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici also involved.
