Inter are not alone in courting Boca Juniors star Nahitan Nandez according to a report published by ESPN.

Despite being on the losing side in the Copa Libertadores final played and won at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu by Boca’s arch-rivals River Plate earlier this month, the midfielder largely impressed Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, who was one of the many big names in attendance at the match.

The report also reveals that the Argentine coach received rave reviews from Nandez’s compatriots Diego Godin and Jose Maria Gimenez who stressed the need for him to be signed as he would further reinforce what is already a strong midfield in the Colchoneros team.

The 22-year-old, who possesses dual Italian nationality, is under contract with the Buenos Aires giants through to the end of the 2019/20 season and the former Penarol player has a €22 million release clause in his contract at La Bombonera, the report stresses.
